Cut down day approaches

It's no surprise that picture of health Bartolo Colon
is among the players eligible for spring training IR.

The following players are approved for IR. If, however, any of these players are not on IR to begin the season, they must be removed or usual roster violation penalties will be incurred. If a player is not listed, he is not eligible for the IR and must be removed come March 1:

1B, Nick Johnson, Gun Show (out until at least mid-May)
SP, Kris Benson, DLB (might be out for the season)
SP, Matt Clement, Zogs (out until at least mid-July)
OF, Juan Rivera, Rabbits (out until at least June)
3B, Dallas MacPherson, Rabbits (might be out for the season)
SP, Francisco Liriano, Rabbits (out for the season)
SP, Pedro Martinez, 'Mob (out until at least mid-July)
SP, Brandon Backe, Lords (might be out for the season)
SP, Mark Mulder, Lords (out until at least July)
RP, Eddie Guardado, T-Bags (out until at least mid-June)
SP, Bartolo Colon, Stophers (out until at least April)
SP, Randy Johnson, Stars ("expected to begin the season on the DL" - D'Backs official site)
SP, Josh Johnson, Rabbits ("expected to begin the season on the DL" - MLB.com)

how are some of these guys IR eligible? wasn't the rule that a player had to most likely be out for the start of the season? otherwise teams are more or less adding roster spots for the 2-3 weeks until the season starts.

anyway, maybe I missed a vote, but if the rule has changed to "out till mid-march" then wouldn't hayden penn also be IR eligible.

Thanks for the correction, made the changes above and added the rule to the constitution.
