Weather.com “Fortuitous storm of the week” – The Satanists probably weren’t going to win this one anyway – the Week 7 weather that caused 3 starts to be lost and shifted to Week 8 2-starters was likely for the best…

Everlast “Punchless offense of the week” – How hard is it to post the week’s 3rd best score without the benefit of a single home run? Well, we wouldn’t know, as this is the first homerless week in the CWFLB this year. The Blunted haven’t had less than 6 in any single week! The Rockbusters’ 239 pitching points is a weekly high (Week 1 excluded) for the season, which helped bridge the gap…

1B – Are you kidding me? Both Rock and Sal break their “wrong choice” streaks in the same matchup? How did we possibly avoid the Rapture?
SP – Carlos Carrasco in, Wade Davis out (+17.83)
SP – Chris Narveson in, Jordan Zimmermann out (+5)
Microsoft Outlook’s “Tough schedule of the week” – Rock seems to think that he’s getting a raw deal on the scheduling side of things, and his total points against would seem to support that claim. But the real analysis is in the matchups – how many times did you lose (or win) despite posting a score in the top half (or bottom half, for lucky wins) of the league? So far, the ‘topes have only suffered one “unlucky loss” – Week 2, when they posted the 7th best score, barely above the break-even line. Only two teams have suffered 2 unlucky losses thus far – the H Tree, Week 3 (6th best) and Week 6 (2nd best) and the Snappers, Week 1 (5th best) and Week 6 (5th best). The Snappers do have a lucky win to their credit though, winning in Week 5 with the 9th best score. On the flip side, the DLB and T-Baggers have 2 “lucky wins” each to their credit. DLB in Week 1 (8th best) and Week 5 (10th best), and the Baggers in Week 3 (8th best) and Week 6 (11th best).
Mattrostars (5-2) d. Jackrabbits (4-3) 383 – 377.5
Mattrostars take Dykstra division lead with down-to-the-wire victory over Jackrabbits…
Mattrostars MVP – SS Asdrubal Cabrera – 43 actual points, 21 projected (+22). National surge in newborns named “Asdrubal” reported as fantasy owners get caught up in Cabrera fever…
Mattrostars LVP – SP Clayton Kershaw – 8 actual points, 20 projected (-12)
Max possible score – 422.83
U – Alex Gordon in, Ichiro out (+6)
SP – Yovani Gallardo in, Clayton Kershaw out (+17)
RP – Joel Hanrahan in, Drew Storen out (+9)
RP – Kenley Jansen in, Neftali Feliz out (+7.83)
Rabbits MVP – SP Francisco Liriano – 42.5 actual points, 25 projected (+17.5)
Rabbits LVP – SP Josh Johnson – 7.5 actual points, 43 projected (-35.5). “Ace” Johnson got hurt. Who could’ve seen THAT coming?
Max possible points – 399 (enough to win)
SP – Kyle Drabek in, Josh Johnson out (+21.5)
WebMD.com’s “Crappy luck with injuries of the Week” – Obviously, as mentioned above, losing a Josh Johnson start due to injury turned this matchup. Second consecutive week that Mattro was the beneficiary of a game-changing injury. Anyone else getting a little suspicious?
Limerick Lynchmob (3-4) d. Elephant Balls (3-4) 331.33 – 209.67

Snappers MVP – RP Matt Harrison – 43.17 actual points, 22 projected (+21.17), one trip to the waiver wire…
