Week 2 Review

Guess what baby? You're gone, and I'm back to being a fantasy baseball force!

Week 2 Review

Thought I’d take a second to review Brandon’s “Things we learned from day one” two and a half weeks later…
• Mattro feeling the pressure, losing his cool early – Certainly wasn’t a problem in Week 1, but pitching let him down in a Week 2 loss…
• Lynchmob lineup is dangerous (but can the arms keep up?) – Offense ranked 3rd in points through two weeks, Pitching ranked dead last. ‘Mob is 0-2. Brandon is right on with this one…
• Kendry back early, perhaps we are witnessing a reversal of fortune for Blunted – Well, Kendry is still a couple of weeks away, and the Blunted are 1-1 like almost everyone else right now, after posting a horrendous Week 2 score. Hard to say…
• JB is a chef with a bunch of mediocre ingredients, blah blah blah. Maybe the special will be okay today, but we know it won’t be great – Rockbusters 1-1 after taking down the mighty Mattrostars, but ranked 9th in offense, 7th in pitching, 7th in overall points. Pretty mediocre start thus far.
• Pete’s hold and save strategery is pretty nice – Yeah…when the Braves are winning close games. Venters and Kimbrel combined for 24 points in Week 2, possibly costing the H Tree a win over the E-Balls.
• Chipper Jones is ready for the DL – Really, this would apply after any day over the past 6 years or so. Chipper’s not hurt yet though…
• Satanists lineup looks brutal for the year – Yes, this is the one I was looking forward to…ranked 5th in offense after two weeks (and more importantly, 2-0) – we’ll take that. Now, we just need the room to stop spinning for Morneau and Rollins to knock in a run or two…
• Women weaken legs…Rihanna gone, Kemp is once again a top five OF – Top 5? How about #1 though Monday’s games. Good for you, Matt Kemp!
